Neelam thought she was having a couples portrait session, but what she didn’t know is I was conspiring with her soon to be fiancé Roshan and his sister Janessa to plan what would not just be an engagement session, but an actual engagement. We started off taking pictures at Arlington Vineyards just south of Nashville, TN, and then set up a picnic for the couple where I asked them to write a message to each other on chalkboards I provided. This was Roshan’s queue… while Neelam went along with the message choosing “you are my sunshine,” Roshan wrote his proposal. I asked the couple to reveal the message to each other as I snapped Neelam’s reaction while Roshan proceeded to get on one knee and pop the question with a stunning ring. Neelam and Roshan were wedded in India this year and are now Mr. and Mrs <3
